Well... by my very nature I am flirtatious, and my girlfriend hates it! LOL! Yes... I am striahgt, but my point is even on occasion I have been approached by guys who thought I was gay because my personality (not to be confused with effiminancy or masculinity) has lead them to belief I was hitting on them - when certainly this was not the case. One of my issues is I smile at everyone! Everyone... friends, family, strangers, neighbors, and even that weirdo guy outside my job who says the world is ending everyday at 12 exactly. So, it is not really about courage I think (at least not for me) it is just apart of my personality and I suppose if you like someone - be that of the same or opposite sex - your body will show those hidden desires and signs to that person for you. Very cautiously. Even if they're gay, too, that doesn't guarantee that they're into you.
Oh, I'm a chronic flirt, but nothing ever comes from it, because I'm clueless when they actually respond (like in that commercial where the guy gets up the courage to tell his gf that he wants to date her roommie and almost misses the part where she says to date them both!).
